Blizzard today just started talking about the awesome new gear changing featured called reforging.\u00a0 This feature will allow players to downgrade the secondary stats they have on a item for something that might be much more powerful.\u00a0 This new reforging ability is going to give players more choices when it comes to getting items and upgrading them to something worth while.\u00a0 This is awesome news for players that hate doing multiple raids waiting for a piece of gear to drop and never having it actually come to fruition.\u00a0 The official announcement is posted below.<\/p>\n

Originally a magic brought to the citizens of Azeroth by the Highborne, reforging will provide a new means for players to customize their gear in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. NPCs offering reforging services will be located in all major cities, ready to assist in customizing items by altering the stats they provide. Players can use reforging to modify an item’s stat values, or to undo any previous changes and allow different customization choices. Check out the preview now!<\/p>\n
