Muscle building requires a diet high in protein and lower in fat. You should adopt a healthier diet instead of overeating. Split squats, neck work and dips may include awkward joint positions that may put you at risk of serious injury. Keep these for bigger exercises such as rows, presses, squats, and deads. There are a number of ways exercising your muscles can improve your life, whether or not you have an interest in bulking up. Doing this can improve your self esteem, increase your strength, and help get your joints and lungs in better shape. It's especially effective when done in conjunction with a medium level or lower cardio workout. Try to improve your bicep curls. When you do typical bicep curls, you aren't getting the highest benefit due to the fact that you aren't moving the dumbbell or the bar past the point of alignment. However, the top portion is a bicep curl's strongest part. This can be remedied by doing the barbell curls while seated. If your goal is to increase your overall muscle mass, you must be willing to establish goals that are feasible. Your best results are achieved gradually over time, through working out hundreds of times. Any potential shortcuts that tempt you have rather vicious downsides you want to avoid. Working out too hard is asking for an injury, and using steroids or other stimulants will only expose you to seriously negative health consequences down the road.
