DDO Exploit: Super Fast Crossbow Shooting

1) Get 2 heavy / light repeating crossbow and have proficiency in them.
2) Fire 2 shots at an npc with Bow A.
3) Switch to Bow B.
4) Fire 2 shots at the same npc.
5) Switch to Bow A.
6) You will have a full load of bolts.

I tried this and it appears to be a graphical bug only. I shoots like a mad man but it's not rolling. When you try this Broden does it actualy roll and hit the target?

btw- I'm trying this w. auto attck on... is auto attack enabled or disabled for you?

With auto attack on that triggers a well know bug. It appears to let you shoot your xbow with no reload time, but as you thought it is a display bug and while you are certainly using up ammo you are not actually attacking your targets.

If you don't use autoattack as noone should unless you are trying to trigger the fast attack bug, then you simply switch between the two weapons. When you equip the second one it will have a full 3 rounds loaded, then when you equip the first it will again have a full 3 rounds ready to go. So essentially it keeps reloading them while they are not equipped.

However there is still the delay of switching back and forth from one to the other repeatedly which is about half a second if you don't have the quickdraw feat. So without quickdraw you are basically trading in a reload at about one second every three shots for a weapon switch at about half a second every 2 shots

This used to work a long while ago
but was nerfed in a patch

there is still a bug with auto attack and repeaters where you will continuously shoot bolts, but they will do no damage and only result in wasted ammo
