How to get passed cap on 2 accounts per PC (or 2 instances) Subject description: This relates to my other guide on logging cross realm.
For premi or bucks.... Or for anyone who cares to know...
Just like Logging in X realm guide I posted... This is how you load up more than 2 instances of daoc on 1 computer... (A good computer helps a lot with this)
1. Load up 3 or 4 patchers, run the patchers all the way through to log in window.
2. Log in two of your characters first.
---Leave the other patcher untouched. ---
3. Download a hex editor (if you don't have one)... I use XVI32. Google XVI32 and download that first hexeditor there... It's free with no crappy trial (like neo hex editor)
4. Open your hexeditor.
5. Click Open... (You're going to open a file with your hexeditor)
6. Navigate through your folders to your mythic/Darkness/whatever folder.
7. Find game.dll in your daoc directory.
8. Rename game.dll to something you'll remember... I just rename it to 123. Now open it your renamed "game.dll". In my case I'd open "123"
9. Go to "Search" or "Find" in your hex editor.
10. type in DAoCi
11. click okay
---It should take you to some strings where they'll say DAoCi1 and DAoCi2. If not take some time to navigate to those Smile ---
12. Click the 1 and type 3, and click the 2 and type 4.
13. Now save that hexeditor file you just edited as game.dll in your daoc directory.
14. Remember that extra patcher(s) I had you have up? Now log in to your other character.
---This part pertains to you if you have a quad core processor. (I would recommend this and plenty of ram ofcourse). ---
---It would be smart of you to keep the games running stable and from jamming your data from your quad to set affinity (causes big lags/pauses maybe even crashes/blue screening).---
15. Open task manager with cntrl. - alt - delete keys.
16. Go to processes tab.
17. Find all of your game.dll files there...
18. Right click each of them and click "set affinity".
19. Set each game.dll affinity to it's own CPU. Unclick the rest for each. (For example: click 1 game.dll and unclick CPU 1, 2 and 3. Leaving CPU 0 up)
20. Now set priority to each game.dll to high or real time... It helps alot with lag spikes. Windows should be fine if you have enough ram.
My PC is a Q6600 something or other. 4 gigs of 1066mhz ram but with my XP version I only get 3.25gigs detected. I can run 4 accounts at once but it runs my computer hot... All quads run hot anyway...
Hope this makes sense... Any questions just reply.

This can be done in a much simpler way, and without violating rules.
"DAoC1" and "DAoC2" are the names of objects that DAOC looks for when it launches. Instead of changing the names in DAOC's files, which breaks the rules, you can simply remove the objects from the operating system's memory. The effect on DAOC is the same, but the second way is easier and it doesn't break the rules. The objects are temporary and they come back each time DAOC starts, so no harm is done.
You can do this with a single key press. You need to download a free program called HotkeyNet. Available from:
