I AM SO FREAKING SICK OF ALL YOU IDIOTS POSTING 100 1 PARAGRAPH CRAP TRYING TO GET PREMIUM.

IF YOU THINK THAT YOU SHOULD ONLY GET 3 CHANCES, THEN PLEAE VOTE HERE!

Note: You would only get a strike if the submission sucked.

Ex: If you had a GOOD submission but it was denied, then you would not get a strike.

Ex: If you had a crappy submission and it was denied, STRIKE ONE!

I really think this is a bad idea. What is good/bad i think thats different for everyone. You will get people that say good but no or bad but no. But how is it calculated :P

I am not voting, however, according to my view i would reccomend that this system be put in place so that if the submission is a buy/sell, false, or nerfed and IS a prem submission, not a goodwill submission

Farts, the internet hates you too since your sig doesn't work :)

though I do agree we need to make a way to prevent horrible posts. It seems like I notice it a lot more with GW than in the SWG submissions, maybe it has more to do with the types of players who come here to submit for premiums?

something that has already been submitted = no strike

something that is well-known = strike

something that is incorrect, severely insufficient, or just plain sucky/half-assed = SSTTRRIIKKE

Farts, you need to chill the hell out. yeah, great thanks for writing a guide on how to submit guides.

HOWEVER... if you keep acting like you sit atop a high and mighty pedestal because your submission was accepted (keep in mind YOU also submitted some rather weak submissions before one of yours finally got accepted, i'll spare you the embarassment of not posting them here) you may just find yourself banned. Spouting things like "I hate you all" and "I AM SO FREAKING SICK OF ALL YOU IDIOTS..." is not a way to get on my good side.

Apparently you've never ever moderated ANY kind of forum on the internet, not to mention ever been in any sort of position of power it seems... (though I can tell you would like to be) PEOPLE WILL DO STUPID THINGS. There is no way to stop it. So... instead of getting pissed off about it and making yourself look like an angry babbling fool (which you have just done) just let the moderators lock the post, and move on with your life. I am LOCKING this post because there is nothing that can come out of this.

Even if we WERE to implement some sort of "three strikes you're out" system, are YOU going to write the rules of what is a good submission? of what constitutes what is "well-known?" Yes, it's obvious most of the time, but the internet seems to be a neverending battleground of typing fingers arguing about things which are absolutely pointless. I don't want to see people making posts about how "OMG I GOT A STRIKE MY SUBMISSION WAS GOOD" because thats MORE garbage. And yes... it WILL happen. Then there will be more bickering, etc etc. I wrote a sticky with submission rules, and I KNOW people will not always read it... and when I see that they've made a mistake, I lock, and I point them to the rules. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake again. If they INSIST on posting useless information after that time, there will be action taken which will not be YOUR responsibilty as a user of the forum, but will be up to the moderators and administrators. In fact, in the amount of time I have been moderating here, I can only think of ONE instance where someone would need restriction, and ONLY from one forum (submissions).

On top of that, there are only a very very few people who have the ability to ban people by username and IP address from the forums. I am not of of these people, nor is deadly. So anytime we DID decide that someone should be banned for "low quality submissions" (which should really be VERY very seldom) I would have to send a PM to someone, wait for the ban to happen. In the meantime, this person is free to roam the forums and make more of a fool of themselves. Take a guess at how many PMs I get each day and ignore because I've locked someones post and they ask why or try to plead their case. It's more than I would like to, but that doesn't bother me because I expect it. I know that the bell curve of our userbase is concentrated aroung the 13-17 age group, and that the majority of them are looking to leech, not to contribute. However, a percentage of that chunk will have SOME sort of motivation to attempt to submit some half-arsed piece of plagiarized information HOPING to get access to the premium exploits just so they can use them and never make another post again.

I've completely forgotten the original intent of this post. But I do know as soon as I opened this thread I was upset with you mcgee for trying to do a job which is not yours to do. To level with you... you are obviously stressing yourself out more than you need to. Sit back and enjoy your premium access. Stop calling people idiots and wishing death upon them or you may find yourself unable to visit the forums at all.

Ouch... Just to pass comment here, but fart's guide on how to submit guides was purely a gesture of goodwill, and was the reason I stickied it, after all, theres no harm in helping those who want to help along their way.

Anyways, Disussion is locked, end of story.
