Trying for a better weapon : GW Discussion

Right now I'm using the following axe as my primary weapon
I'm a W/Mo, just as a headsup


Crippling Spiked Axe of Enchanting
Slashing Damage: 6-28
+15% damage (all the time)
-5 energy
Crippling duration lasts longer on foes
Enchantments last 19% longer
+20% (from customize)

It's a pretty nice weapon, but I was wondering if there was potentially something out there that would be better, I've been trying to find a +29/30 HP piece to add to this (because the 19% enchantment thing doesn't really do a whole lot for me)

try a sword it really does aslot better for me than axes becaus of skills and the amout of more time you hit with it rather than axes.

Axe is better than sword, because swords have more skills doesnt mean its better.

Axe have unique adrenalin skills, which can cause deep wounds and weakness very quickly, along with Battle Rage an axe warrior can throw out alot of skills without paying any energy for cost.

i dident say it had ore skills i just said some of the skills are way way better than ax skills and it all depens on the skills you use with ur sword / axe soo read befor you jump to conclusions

You did say about skills, read your post. Which I would assume you meant the wide variety, i.e. more.


Battle Rage and axe with good adrenalin skills will cause a lot of damage in a short time.


Battle Rage has a unique ability to gain more adrenalin per hit, and most axe skills are adrenalin based, so a Whammo can sit with an axe and mending all day without running out of energy.

Axe does more damage but Swords do more damage OVER TIME.

Actually, axes in general, will do more damage over 10 hits than a sword over 10 hits. Since they attack at the same speed, it is really dependant on your personality which one u wish to use. Also, there are sword or axe specific builds.

i personally think axes arent very good enless you are farming alone, if you are use an axe, if not use a sword... and i dont know about hammers
