Post subject:  Bergen Hotsprings Smite Farming [Best Farmin I've found!]

I've been farming north of Bergen Hotsprings for about 4 hours and have come up with 8 Yellows, 18 Purples, and a whole heck of a lot of blues. Not to mention about 500 Tanned Hide Squares from all the salvage.

I use Balthazar/Symbol of Wrath to do most of the damage (with Signet of Judgement for backup for stragglers). Equip Orison of Healing and healing Breeze for health and Purge Conditions and you are all set.

Works fast and you can travel to the NW a bit to fight some higher LVL undead and get access to a few chests.

Most notable is a Necrid Horseman just outside Bergen that always drops a purple or an orange almost everytime. He doesn't spawn everytime u leave, so go back in and back out to get him again. Between him and the archers in that area you are almost guaranteed atleast 1 orange and a purple.

It can be a bit tricky to get them all within range for Bal and Sym, but if you watch the groups closely every 10sec or so they kinda run at a central point... if you charge them when they do that they will stay tightly packed so you can get em all at once (you should be able to get them w/ JUST Symbol of Wrath, but it is nice to have Balthazar as backup).

I imagine this technique would work very well for pretty much ANY class this is either primary or secondary monk for the smiting skills.

I've killed that horseman more times than I'd like to admit and never got anything higher than blue.

You're right... just tested and he doesn't drop as well anymore. I still got 2 oranges between the 3 groups of archers just outside within the last 20min.

I think the best silver to time ratio is found by actually killing most of the undead in that area though (the archers seem to drop very well).
