Post subject:  Double your money as a low to medium level character

An easy way to double your money through Shiverpeak investment.

While the level 20, Ascended, Fissure of Woe-clad character can make thousands easily, those of us not quite there have it a little harder. However, through merchanting Stone Summit Badges, as well as keeping your own, you can bring yourself a little closer to the higher echelons.

Badges drop frequently from Summit enemies in the Shiverpeaks, valued at 8 gold. In the Northern Shiverpeaks, they can be used for low level armour, or traded in to Ornhelm Brightaxe in Drok's Forge. Each collector requires 5, but the weapons Ornhelm trades can be sold for 125 each, thus giving Badges a true value of 25 gold.

Like real world investing, you need some startup capital, in this case access to Drok's Forge. Depending on the runners, this could be anywhere from free to 3k.

The next part is acquiring the badges. Many in the Northern Shiverpeaks aren't aware of the increased trading value, and will sell to you for 10 or 12 gold each. Even at 15, nearly double the apparent worth, you make a 66% profit. Good places to buy are The Frost Gate and Beacon's Perch, as people are just leaving Summit-heavy missions.

If you can solo these missions, the amount of badges acquired can add an extra 750 - 1500 gold to a run at the trader, a nice bonus for a character short on cash.

While not as profitable as some other forms of farming, the badges are unlikely to be nerfed, and are an easy source of cash for those who can't yet access higher levels of enemies or cash.
