| Post subject: | AoE monster trick |
first of all get a healer and then go into the area you wish to fight in. This is mainly for elementalists because they have alot of AOE skills. find some monsters o fight and make sure that they are attacking you, not your healer. get them all around you and then cast your aoe spell. They should run away from you to get out of the spells effect range. then when they start running back toward you time it so that just as they reach you, you cast your spell. this gives them maybe enough time to hit you (not at all if your good enough). then your healer should heal you in for the little damage that they have done. repeat this and you should be able to defeat large groups very easily. this works the best on warrior type monsters but can be done against ranged monsters if you run up to them. this might also be able to be done with ranger trap skills, but i am not familiar with how they work. |

I'd say nay to this, I've seen several "how to exploit the AI which causes monsters to flee from AoE spells" posts as of late. Nothing new. Opinions? |
