Scamming, not something for the weak of heart, it takes a great actor and risk taker to be able to d it properly... think you got what it takes? Well then welcome to The Scammer's Guide to Guild Wars! Good scammers guild trust with the person they are about to rob before doing so, thats why good guild leaders are great scammers. Things you can do to build trust with strangers is use scams on a level 20 character, have elite armor on, bonus points if its died black. There are two ways to scam, out in the open for everyone to see (that way no one will think you're stupid enough to scam them) or out in the dark (try selling some noob a really leet weapon, dazzel them with your gears, then say he doesn't have enough money, but you'll give him a great deal on ______ since he's new!)

1. Basic scam. (Grey=Silver)

This is a scam for rookies, it teaches you the basics and lets you get abit of money on the side, great if you need that extra 1-2k for that new bow. This is a scam that you use on noobs (make sure they're noobs though), make sure you dazzle him, but not too much. Then think of a great line to switch the conversation to silver dye, say the npcs sell it for (what is i tnow...300?), but you'll give it for nly 200, great deal! First he will doubt, but pressure him into it. Make sure you sell at least 4 to him, if you can unload 8 of them onto one guy, you know you're a great scammer

2. Basic scam. (minis everywhere)
***note, this is an overtime scam***
This isn't as much of a scam, but it gives you something to build on to practice negotiation. Go to any town, and buy a mini necrid horseman for 2k. Then find someone who will trade it for a turtle, or a temple guard, then buy another mini necrid for 2k, then trade both in for a mini thats worth around 25k. Now, buy a couple more necrids (I have no clue why people trade for these) and trade them again. Now you should have two 20ishk minis...but why stop there? Trade those two and a mini necrid for a 50-60k mini (it helps if they're all diffrent). Doing this I got a mini shiro in a our days just by reading the trade chat while in town.

3. As you go scam. (cut around the corners!)

A great way to save your money! Lets say you're buying a sword for 25,500g. When the trade bar goes up, type in 25 platinum and 050 gold. Great way to save a bit of extra money, if caught you can just laugh it up and say it was a mistake. (try to make the other person impatient, try accidentally putting in wrong items or pressing wrong buttons, try to act as if you don't care that much about the trade, that way they seem to notice less about what they're actually getting).

4. Difficult scam. (changing the world market)

Though many players may hate me for admitting this, I may be the person responsible for the price in mini pigs going up to 50k for a couple of short days. During festivals its easy to catch people in a craze for items. Simply buy something in high demand for the lowest you can, and then sell it for an absurd price. Some !@#$%^&* will try to point out the real price, then you argue with him for an hour or so. This way everyone in the district will eventually think your right. Then they'll think think things just 2k lower then yours are a great save and they'll start buying everything. Keep waiting, other people will notice this and increase their prices, in the end you can sell of something like a min pig from 4k to 50k. (This requires persistence and the ability to argue with no concrete point).

5. Moderate Scam. (Switch and Sell)

Got two celestial golds? One isn't maxed?! Well thats useless...or if you leave them unidentified you can just show the maxed, then get "disconnected", put on the non-maxed. and bam you still got plenty to sell
*works great with tomes*

6. Tips

-Be creative, make sure not many know about it.

-Use a level 20 character, show off your 1337ness, don't be arrogant though.

-Titles are a great bonus

-Make sure you have a friend you can practice your scams with, hell talk to me in game if you ever find me if you want help.

-Get connections, best way is to get out and scam, oddly enough, majority of the people who fall for scams are scammers. Try and learn which ones you should keep as friends

-Use good grammar, you'll be surprised how effective that is for building respect.

7. More updates (srry guys, really tired atm, but there is much more coming soon)

Scamming is bad it means you can't play the game with out cheating or robbing someone. Doesnt matter if they're a noob or not they're still human and you were a noob too once. So was everyone else.

P.S. im gona past this on any thing that says scam on it.
