Having been on the receiving end of many many bans, let me tell you what normally happens... they record all the peeps who cheated, and then they ban wave, after 2-4 weeks. So while you might think your account is safe today... it might not be next week, or in a couple weeks.
I think they do it in part, to not let you know exactly how they caught you, nor when - but it will happen.
It was a few years back, the last time I got hit with a major ban wave, and since then I have had my company only hand level. No more mass bans.
For anyone considering using the new version when it's released, I highly recommend waiting 1 month to try it. Let others be the cannon fodder.
