nothing atm you have both space combat and ground based. Ground Combat: when you beam down to a planet and do ground combat or exploration your accompanied by 4 bridge officers (or BOFFs) this changes when you group with other players for every other person who groups with you a BOFF disappears. Space Combat: Is fairly straight forward like any space SIM or MMO this its Star Trek feel which they did very well in my opion. Another aspect of space which they did was Exploration which is very cool and hard to explain. In conclusion if you are a Star Trek fan its a must try at the very least get a trial code. I gave all mine away already or I would give you one. |

Thanks for the info dw. I wasnt really sure what this game was like. I was looking at the videos on youtube of the MMOViper, and like it looked pretty crazy. I want to try it out, but I hear something about keys? I guess I wont be able to try it out afterall? |

i've heard the game is alot of fun and a must for a ST fan. but can be a little slow on the update side of things |

IMO, (Playing since closed Beta - almost 500 days game time) Cryptic could take this game and run, and make it an awesome game. Not to say it isn't fun now, but im my experience it is in short bursts. Especially with Episodes and re-runs. Space combat would be great with tru-3D. Ground combat could be a lot smoother and more engaging. There are some bugs still around a year later. |

Yea its sad they didnt fix the small bugs. They where rushed to get it out i heard by a licensing agreement phelan. However i still feel sto just needs one major expansion pack and it could be WAY up there in terms of enjoyability. |

I for ONE LOVE IT AND thanks its one of the Best MMOs out there, Does it need some work sure but every MMO need somthing. But over all its a great mmo and its FREE TO PLAY SO GIVE IT A TRY!!! WOW 5/10 SWG 8/10 EVE 6/10 SWTOR 7/10 STO 8/10 POTBS 6/10 EQ 7/10 EQ2 6/10 PS 6/10 P.S. just my 2 cents |
