SWG Tricks - Return to Tansari Point Station...

sooo... let's say you "forgot" to do the Tansari Station badge on your toon - how about returning to the station and do it?

here are the steps how to do it:

you need 3 toons for it:

- Toon A who is able to fly a POB (tried it with the Yacht)
- Toons B and C who fly with A in the POB. One of them (either B or C) needs to have the Hoth Snowspeeder ITV ability (or something similar - will explain later, why)

Now toon A hyperjumps to the Ord Mantell system. Then B and C do a logout to the caracter select screen. When they are logged out, A lands at Nova Orion Station. After he landed, B and C log in again.

B and C will be standing in the middle of nowhere and will not be able to move (but be able to drive around on their vehicles)

now B and C initiate a duel (both type /duel <charactername> - since the radial menu won't give you the duel command), and one of both get's killed in that duel. Now the cloning window will appear. You will see a lot of "Tansari Station" cloner locations.

Clone there - et voila - you are on the starter station and may do whatever you want to do...

The other character may now call his snowspeeder ITV and travel out of the nowhere :)

(Attention: Group Pickup Points do not work - so if you go there without the special ITV ability, you are stuck and will need a GM to help you!!!)

If you want to leave the Station again, talk to Han Solo. I was lucky and got the dialogue to leave - a friend was not and needed a GMs assistance to leave.

Attention: You may loose quest progress on unfinished quests (at least my quest journal was empty after that trip :)) - only already finished quests stayed in my questlog.

Not sure if it is already here or common knowledge... Just stumbled across that glitch and thought I'd share it...

Yay - nice find!

A side note: Keep in mind that you cannot select ships while using the Tansarii Point ship terminal and when doing space missions you can not choose which ship you will do missions with. For me, it just default selected one from my datapad. This ship didn't have a weapon capacitor in it so I had to leave TP, load a cap and then go back up.

After this short fix, I did complete the space missions in about 25 minutes.

You will also need to do your TP profession training before you can do space, Gamma, or leave TP.

Also, you can leave which ever toon you want to use to do the killing right at the spawn point in TP.

Yeah, it seems that it will delete any uncompleted quest in your journal. I lost my lockbox quest.

Well, it looks like it completely rests any uncompleted quest. I have the entire avatar platform quest line back.

Another side note: this might be away to start repeats on quest line for leveling. I guess it would come down to how much XP and how fast a turn around you get on the quest.

/yea

Works fine. You will look rather out of place up there though running around with a guild tag, etc. hehehe

did you read the first few lines of my post?
It's interesting i..e for badge collectors. You can do a badge exclusive on Tansari, for pilot missions. Those who were never able to go to Tansari (toons created before Tansari Station was introduced) or toons who skipped the tutorial, may now go there with master pilot equipment and do the missions for the badge in a very short time.

Next thing is - the glitch resets unfinished quests. I did not further research into this. But as cuervogold said - might be a way to repeat content for grinding.

This doesn't work for me, perhaps it got fixed perhaps I'm doing it wrong. Since I only have 2 toons at my disposal I was going to try with one toon then try and use the Flight of the veteran to get there on my second to duel then so on...
But after I do the /logout then land when I log in on that toon again I just get ported back to my ground location where I launched.

Update: okay so I fixed one issue and ran straight into another.

I was trying this with 2 toons, and could not get them to bug out into the "nowhere" zone until I tried not doing the /logout command and went with the "return to character screen" instead and that worked. (also, you can do this by launching off Nova Orion and then logging out toon B and/or C by clicking "return to character seletion screen" then landing with toon A on Nova Orion, and logging back in toons B/C"

When I eventually got to the point where I had 2 toons in space and I dueled one another and DB'd one no cloning locations came up, I had to pull my hoth ITV on my other guy and bring a medic up (using the multi-passenger vehicle exploit) to res my other toons and then using the ITV again to take all 3 toons back down.

If anyone can think of a fix to my problem thad be sick, I will keep trying

Sure the fix is do it like it's posted. If you are trying to find a different method, IE using just 2 toons then that's on you.

As stated it works and pretty damn well.

The point of getting back there? Badges, collections, a way to reset current quest at any point so maybe and pretty killer way to do repeats on some quest.

But again, Yay. It works and I did find some usefulness in it. Much better then other stuff that gets posted.

I tried doing it the posted way and still got no cloning locations, I was able to find a work around tho, and get the badge and reset my quests.
If you are like me and you cannot clone onto tansarii when you get to the "nowhere" zone bike up and drive to coordinates 89 0 89 and youl see something like this, then its just a matter of driving into the place. Also you can call you G9 or hoth ITV here and drop a waypoint if you want to come back or bring people with you.

I found the Tansari Hangar too - but was not able to enter it. So I did not mention that in my first posting and used the cloning way instead.

but good to see you were able to enter the Station and do your badge ;)

How did you drive into it? Press up on the wall and call a bike?
