More than 100% magic find is awesome. 100%+ magic find means it boosts the magic find stat by 100%... So if you had a 2% chance of magic find vanilla, 100% magic find would mean you get 100% more OF THAT BASE STAT. Making the actual magic find something like 4%. So if you had 200% magic find that means 6%, 1000% magic find 22%. Thusly keeping the actual chances of finding expensive stuff reasonably low enough that even the most pimped out character still finds them rare and attractive.

This is really helpful if your farming your legendary. Not so much if your not but a good Karma+Gold stream. As the video says though it helps alot to have a guild thats stacking Karma boosts.

From what I have read, Magic Find doesn't boost the chance that you will find an item with Magic abilities on it, instead that it boosts the stats themselves. Any truth to this?

Not in the least, everything scales to your level and all grades of gear have identical stats.

Boosted magic increases your chance to get rarer items and more lower grade items. It also does not work on chests, only drops.

So say its not really worth it to use magic find on a dungeon run, but it is worth it to use it when your chaining events. Especialy if the events result in alot of kills/loot.
