Noob Question about this utorrent i got.

Ok soo i downloaded utorrent 1.6 and i got my speed checked and then i did my port check. Nothing. I dunno how to use the link and i dunno if that is my real router number too and not some number. Plz help. I have dsl btw. I am tryin to log in my router but i dunno how. I have a westell.

If you want fast speeds it best not to use a router and just plug the comp directly into the modem.

Best way to instantly get a nasty virus/malware/trojan also. Most, if not all current routers have some kind of firewall built in which is always better than any software firewall by itself. Security over speed now a days.
