I've managed to bot my way to lv32 (+4) but now finding it hard to level up using xufish. I've tried all areas to try fishing but end up having to fish manually in the end in order to get a catch, just wondering if anyone has some tips for getting to 40, if not i think my best bet will be to just target herring in port jeuno as they dont put up much of a fight to real in and will take me to 39, i've not had a single skill up in two days and its annoying me.

Im currently at the crystal lake in jugner with a frog lure trying crystal bass and red terrapins but 9/10 i dont get anything unless i go manual, gonna take a trip on the ferry for an hour then back to port jeuno.

I use a lu shang but wondered if a mythran would help tire the fish down quicker in the current situation im in.

Couple of things for you to try:

1. Are you running a P4 with Hyperthreading? If so you need to set the affinity to 1 processor. I've found that my fisher runs fine with HT but does take a little bit longer to reel in. When I switch to 1 processor it fishes like a champ. There is reference to how to do this in the XUFish 3 documentation sticky.

2. Give the Mithran a try, from my experience the wooden rods take out larger chunks of stamina. The synthetic rods (cabor, glass, comp) will generally give you more time to reel it in. I'd try a mithran and a synthetic and see which if either gives you a better result.

3. I took a look at clanwind for you and since you are at 32+4 you should really be aiming for fish that are lvl39-41 since wearing the gear takes your fishing lvl to 36 and you want to stay 3-5 lvls above current skill for good skillups. I went ahead and checked Register to unlock hidden link and you would want to do Nosteau Herring (39), Coral Butterfly (40), or Gugru Tuna (41)

Thanks for the info but that's what i've already been trying.

Im trying to find something I can skill up off using XUFish, im now on my third day and nothing has been able to give me a catch let a lone a skill up.

Im after something i can sit at and skill up off, but there doesn't seem to be anything possible unless im manually fishing.

the jump from being able to catch anything to catching nothing is big.

I've pulled up a ryugu titan at 68 skill so I doubt the script has problems catching stuff. It's an issue on your end like for example ht or excessive cpu usage.

Windows was reporting HT was off but it was infact on, everything is fine and dandy again.

go the money making way moat, tri,gold all teh way to 56 lol takes forever but you wil be rich most likley
