I was wondering how you become a Mentor? I went to the help desk, but it won't let me select Mentor program. Thanks

You must be at least level 30 to be a mentor. I believe there is one in each town, but I have only found the NPC in Windurst who allows you to become a Mentor. In any case, I know that you must speak to an NPC (in Windurst it is a Mithra standing by the tree in the central area of Windurst Woods), beyond that I'm not sure.
