i've posted this once already, and nothingn works. its the most frustrating thing in the history of mankind. whenever i try to play FFXI in windowed or dialog mode thru XU it simply minimizes. right after click ok on the "dont forget your friends, family..." yada yada screen it goes black like its going to ffxi then minimizes and disappears. i have no background applications running, firewalls off...i just dont know what to do

if u are referring to az's windower, no it does not...BUT, it is because of my video card, i am already aware of this. the problem was posted in az's forums about it and people are aware. the thing is, i've seen a couple other posts of people with my exact same problem. however, they neglected to post the solution to the problem and ive failed to contact any of them

Also try to see if you are running any other programs like screen capture or other programs.

so no other possible reasons why its doing this? (besides fraps because i still dont even really know what that is)

Fraps is a program that allows you to take pics and make videos.
