Hello, Im new to this site and its forum.

Im planning on returning to Final Fantasy XI as soon as I get a working motherboard in my computer. I was previously a 75whm taru on Unicorn server. I played on a PS2 and did not have access to the wonderful world of bots....but now I do

I will be starting over and was wondering if someone could give me some information on the current bots(ie if they work well(bot specific), which ones I should look into/how many of them are useful, etc). Im not asking for you to give me the bots. Once I know which ones are good to use, I will most likely sign up for a premium account.

fishin, mining, path running, ah, pl, farming, mob claiming, job playing to name some of the bots we have, or is that most of them i forget. most people look into the mob claiming and fishing bots but i would atleast reccomend the fishing one as long as you dont afk fish

job playing sounds interesting...this means bot plays your job for you(ie if whm then it heals when need be)?

fishing will be the one I will take most advantage of.

I probably wont use the job playing one cause im not that lazy, but I dont want to spend my time fishing if I can have a bot do it for me.

another question: do I have to run ffxi in a windower to use these bots?

yep you have to run the windower. the XU windower is better because lower resource consumption

Im really not worried about resource consumption cause my pc is a powerhouse:

do I run all the bots through a program?

by its resource consumption even on a monster of a comp slows down the fishbot so you dont get as many fish as possible. it will be run through the XU client which you can download after purchase

how many fishing levels per day you figure if I play maybe 5 hours per day?

there is a 200ish fish max per day but that depends on your fishing skill vs what you get on the hook/fishup's fishing level. in abour 2-3 hours you should cap your fatigue per day. restarts every jp midnight

so the fishing bot is a macro?

its a scripting program which uses a fish macro

If need be, does the scipting program have my character run to the AH to either sell or buy needed items?

also, while running the script, can I chat with people?

while running the scripting program can you talk to people? yes and no, no while its fighting the fish and running a path but yes during the time between the cast and the bite. it can run to the AH and buy or sell needed items but you need to customze it to whatever you want so a bit of scripting knowledge will help you out a lot on this
