No you can get banned for switching Dat files since its on client side. It is not detectable.

if you don't go around announcing in game that you mod.

it could easily become detectable if enough people were to do it and get caught doing it. Checksums are not impossible to do.

Well you cant get banned for it. But if you Go around telling everyone and bringing attention to your self then yes you will get banned.

Like Modified maps allot of people use them in this site. But you would not go around telling everyone that you have them since that can get you banned.

Those that use a 3rd party program and get caught and the wonder why they got banned and dont know why they are getting banned.

Most users of hacks know the risk you take by changing the game and know how to use it without getting caught.

Some only use little things like mods and maybe a bot but they are always by comp. These are just cheaters.

Their are those that use things without knowing and get caught very fast. These are the Idiots!!!!
