FFxi and your sound card

ok, I like many people have a problem with my sound card when it comes to some aspects of FFxi. Sky being the main one, but also many channels of sound overlapping.
Sky,
when i go to sky i have to disable my sound card. if i dont i can not move. there is a something that makes my ff game drop to .1 fps
strage or hard to beleve but it does.
i have spoked to se and thay say its a know issue but thay have no plans to fix it as of yet.
one tech addviser sujested i get a new sound card instead.
Other,
if i am in dynamisis or other high end partys where there are lots of effects, warcty beserk, curage ect my sound becomes distored and laggy, often missing 10-20 seconds of sound.
i use a creative labs soundblaster 128 live 5.1.
and its most up to date drivers.
do you have sound probles.
do you have perfect sound.
