Anyone got any info about private servers?

there are none and probably never will be, SE has really good defense, heck they prolly would congradulate you instead of suing if you managed to do it.

private servers such as WoW and RO are possible because they only have to hack into the game lone. but for ffxi, POL has to be hacked as well as FFXI itself, which, while not impossible to do, may be impossible to do without behind noticed by them

there are so many damn topics on this its annoying as !@#$%^* to answer to them.

the game mechanics for a game like wow and ffxi are entirely different. if you wanted to spawn an object in wow like lets say a chair to sit in you can easily spawn it with an in game command and you or anyone else can use. in ffxi this a VERY complicated process to do which will make fixing bugs in a emu server hard to complete without updating the entire database very often which requires a long time of uploading it entirely. there are also many other game mechanics which make it very hard to do. while it is possible it will not be coming out anytime soon. you are looking at another 4+ years before one comes out.
