Suggestion for Yays and Nays

I have a suggestion for Yays and Nays here...

It seems a lot of people just go to a thread, and automatically post a Yay or a Nay without giving any reason for it. I'm not going to mention any names, but it repeatedly happens throughout multiple forums, by not only the same few people, but by the masses.

My suggestion, is that people have to give a reason why they chose Yay or Nay because it seems like the only legitimate way to determine whether a person's work receives any points and gets moved to a confirmed section or not.

If someone just puts a Yay or a Nay without actually specifying why, it's highly possible they don't even know why they're giving it that vote. It's possible that there is something that deserves to be put in the confirmed section, and when someone doesn't even tell you why they're robbing you of your chance at a few TUBucks, it can have a negative effect on the community.

No, I'm not saying that everything should be moved to confirmed, I'm just saying that people should put WHY they're giving something a Yay or a Nay, instead of just putting that down, when I personally doubt they even read the entire thing.

That's all, and I hope the Admin/Mods read this and think about it, because I personally find this to be a good solution.

Unless I'm in a bad mood I try to put a small reason why I'm giving a Nay.
I don't think I've /yey without giving my reasons.

But all in all... it's hard enough to get yeys/nays anymore. It'd be nice but I doubt it will happen. If it was required I think we'd see less votes.

Yeah, but now that I'm a mod, I'm only going to listen to the Yays/Nays that have a reason attached. If Admin wants to lock a thread or something that has Nays without reason, that's his choice. But I want to give the thread creator a chance at some points or possibly a premium membership.

Your a mod? Its still showing you as an advanced member. Nonetheless, congrats. Maybe one day ill reach mod status, but because of these reasons, it will probably never happen:

1. I fight with other members constantly.
2. I will attack other members for no reason.
3. I will attack other members if they make a small mistake.
4. I will destroy other members if they do something stupid.
5. I habitually break the rules.
6. I make controversial posts that often end up edited by the admin.
7. I post controversial statements just to make other people mad or to possibly get in a flame war.
8. I regularily criticize the site.
9. I refuse to stop any of my habits and I continue to break the rules even thought I'm told not to.
10. I would most likely abuse my mod powers.

How have I not been banned yet?

Were just both total BAMFs.

Can I request a "forum troll" or something of the sort in place of my "elite of the elite"? that would be freaking epic.

Yeah^^ I support kourath's application for "forum troll" lol...

Off Topic: I think the user-posts density of this thread wins...weighted average posts per poster 3065...And only one from admin :-p.
