You know what I wish for?

No, you don't, so I'll tell you.

I wish that FFXI had a mass PvP System, similar, but not exactly the same as WoW's. Yes, I want some kind of Arena where people can go and just massively abuse each other and then rub it in each other's faces afterwards. The only thing on WoW that I like is the PvP, and I wish FFXI could find some way to incorporate a similar system into their game. IT would be sick, and I would definitely play FFXI more than I have been.

What about you guys/girls? What do you wish for in FFXI?

When ToAU first came out, people kept talking about a PVP arena... then it turned out to just be chocobo racing... rofl! I don't think SE wants us to focus on killing each other, maybe they are afraid of doing anything big with PVP since majority of their games are one player vs. the computer.

And Jarf, unfortunately, that's true. And not having a good PvP system is the only thing keeping me from playing FFXI more...

I think they did diorama to try to make the arena feel for players, but it didn't do a good job if that was their goal. I think that you should be able to play an arena match from any of the main cities, including expansion cities. Maybe even have some sort of awards, not end-game type stuff, but something fun/useful maybe.

I'd like to see them give out chocobo wands or something of that nature again. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much demand for PVP in the FFXI population. Most PVP type players would have moved on to other games at this point, with all of the end-game content being PVE.

I've only got white mage to 75 so I'm not really dying for this, but I still think it would be fun to fight eeach other without playing ballista. I think ballista sucks, IMO. It was a creative form of PVP, but when it comes down to it, FFXI's combat system is closer to turn-based and not really made for a PVP setting.

Yes, I agree with that, but I still want PvP, because I don't want to go back to WoW at all. I hate WoW !@#$%^*, and I <3 FFXI's Job system, how you can change back and forth and whatnot.

And I have NIN RDM THF SAM 75, and yes, I used to have no life... Now I barely play FFXI 2-3 hours a week... But I would so go back to the game if there was a better PvP system than Ballista and Diorama lol
