I just got told last night by my lacrosse coach that I am now the Offensive Captain for the High School Varsity Team at my high school!
My main job now is to control the offensive side of the field as the pointman, and to make sure everyone goes where I tell them and does what I tell them to do.
I'm so happy right now, I'm going to piss my pants in excitement lol
I've always been Top 3-4 Scorer on the team, but I didn't think I'd get to be Captain or Offensive controller until I was a senior, and I'm only a junior right now. But apparently, I have "excellent leadership skills" and "really good stick skills" (I think I got the stick skills from jerking off, but it could be the 2 hours a day of practice... LOL).
So I'm finally at the top, and I couldn't hold it in anymore. I just HAD to tell someone other than my family lol
I'm seriously out of control with excitement right now lol

Wanna know what sucks?
I just broke the head of my lacrosse stick... My BEST head in my entire life, that I've spent 3 years practicing with, and the ONLY head I've ever been able to use to my full potential...
And my backup head sucks donkey balls... !@#$%^&* Harrow H2... It's garbage...
I've spent the last 3 hours trying to fix it up... I sanded the top down, fixed the sides, restrung the entire damn stick (which took 2 hours) and then fitted the pocket. Hopefully since I'm using my old mesh, I'll be able to play like I've been... If I don't, I'll probably lose my new title

Sorry to hear about the stick, but your psyching yourself out. Good players play well no matter what the equipment (unless it's just !@#$%^&* atrocious) I'm sure you'll do fine once you get used to the new feel. You can always go out an buy a nice one like you used to have if you really feel like your not performing to your maximum. It's all a mental game.
I wish I could say the same great things for my basketball career, The year before I quit I think I averaged 15 points a game. The year I quit was a disaster, though. It was ALL mental.

I dislike competitive sports. But oddly enough, while in Gym class... (lol).. I was the best lacrosse player.
I only do things like Ski/Snowboard/Wakeboard/Mountian bike/lolHeelys
Funny story about heelys... if you ever see videos or anything of pro / promoters... I blow them out of the water. Now that I'm over 18 I should look for a job with them.
Btw, CONGRATUFAWKENLATIONSLOL

Lol, thanks and hahaha
But yeah, it is somewhat mental, I'll agree with that. But the problem was, my Evo head was SICK. I've been through thick and thin with it. I've restrung it 8 times, all with the same head and same mesh. And it finally broke, so I'm not used to anything else.
I just got back from shooting 5 minutes ago in my backyard, and it does shoot really similar to my old stick, so it won't be too bad. Especially since it's my old mesh on this new head ^^
I'm just going to have to get used to the H2. It'll take some time, but I can do it

I'm sure you could master it in a few weeks of practice. Any person who uses gear to play a sport knows that switching your usual stuff makes things a bit harder. When I first got my newest wakeboard.. It was a HUGE adaption, but in the end it was better
I still stick with the good ol' strait skis though. Screw that rounded !@#$%^&*.

The new hold on the stick sucks, so if I want accurate passes I have to REALLY concentrate now... But I can do this...
I tried to get my team to have a pickup game tomorrow so I could see where everyone was, and 90% of the people texted me back telling me they were "busy." Basically, it means they're not devoted to the sport and won't spend their time practicing if they don't have to... Which isn't good...
Only 2 of them had a legit excuse lol

Most people in sports don't *really* want to play.
