I had a little conversation today with a GM.

I was bot fishing and a GM sent me a message. But here is the thing, it wasnt a tell. It was like when you talk to a NPC and it gave me options.

A window poped up that said. Hi im (GM name) im a GM. Are you there? Then I had 3 options to choose from. 1. Never 2. Always 3. Sometimes. So of course I answer "Always". Then I get a 2nd window that says...Ok thank you! Just making sure you are there followed by another 3 options of NO, Never, and Always. I answer always and then finally get a tell.

(GM) "Thank you for your cooperation, and happy holidays!
(ME) "Thanks, what is this about?"
(GM) "You were reported for absentee play, and I was investigating it"
(ME) "By who?"
(GM) "Even if I knew that I wouldnt be able to give you that information"
(ME) "Hmm, thats pretty lame, since there are bots all around me. Do you check them too?"
(GM) "GMs investigate every reported case. Good bye!"
(ME) "Ok, good bye, happy holidays!"

So for everyone that thinks you are safe with tell detect.....you arent. Dont afk fish unless you dont mind getting suspended. Luckily I was there. Merry X-mas!!!!!

The trick is to be somewhere close so you can hear your fishbot beep when something goes wrong.

Another thing is to simply logout when there are troubles. As someone else pointed out in another thread, GMs know some people can't speak english or japanese and still fish in the game. Like having your 8yo kid fish for you while you... take a nap?

For this reason if you simply logout they can't do a thing, eventhough they probably are convinced it's just a trick.

I've had a color detect for it since the day the first time someone properly described it on these forums.

Only problem is replying to it, especially since at least I have only seen Japanese screenshots of it.

I have recived one of these already.
Funny thing is I dont own a bot. It happened pretty much like he said. It was odd, I was only fishing for like 45min to 1 hour and this comes up. I think "whoever" reports the fishers are jumpy.

You can remedy this by adding an option to fisher.vbs having the script beep every time it is paused. This kinda sucks for times when you are personally there and want to pause the fisher just to check something, but in the end it saves you a lot of pain as the script will beep if a GM sends you a dialogue, and hundreds of other instances where XUFish pauses.
