Dawn of Light : DAOC Discussion

Dawn of Light is a DAoC server emulation package. It allows you to host your own DAoC worlds.

How it works would fill a large book. In a nutshell it basically tricks the DAoC client into thinking it's a mythic server. It does this by emulating the functionality of the mythic server software.

To run DOL v1.4b you will need a computer connected to the internet. For a more detailed explanation on how to start and manage your DOL servers please check the accompanying readme's and howto's (if there are none, just visit us on our forums or come and join our IRC channel at

So basically if your tired of Mythic you can
A) Run your own server
B) PLay on somones else server for FREE
Servers are pretty much full fuctional except for Catacombs...

I'm with the DoL Team since beginning, we are happy that our project is known. But I'm personally PISSED OFF, of all ur noobish questions im sick to answer ur stupid questions over and over again, Everyday some dumb noob asks the same question. The !@#$%^&* forum is full of ur noob !@#$%^&*. It's a project and it is in BETA forever. Until one good/complete version is out.

I just say, if u wan't to do it. RTFM (read the fukign manual) and lets us in peace with ur !@#$%^&* u noobs. And let us programmer's do our work, and use the forum for something usefull, and give us infos. First u make us lose time answering ur noob question. And second u will get bored of it in 2 days. And another noob comes, and so on we are just loosing our time with u guys.
