Some cybernetics can have 2 sockets.. If you get two crappy powerbits, lets say 18's, make attachments out of them, and stick both on the cybernetic a arm, you would have 36 on the arm, granted you used the same modifier on both attachments.. If you RE'd that, you end up with a capped power bit of 35.

If not it will be. The real issue with it is the cyber arms can not be made in factories. So you have to hand craft them and they take a few sub components. I believe this might be better then ATK making 35s but when you can AFK 35s why bother.
And yes, I'm sure it will get nerfed in a coming patch.

If you are limited in junk loot, the cyber arm method will work for you. The regular way takes between 10-20 modifier bits get a powerbit from 27-35. And that adds to about 20-30 junk loot items. The cyber arm mether only uses 4. The key to the cyber arm is you must make sure both attachments add up to 35+, be it two 18's, or 12 and a 23..

because this doesn't use any junk loot it is destroying the price of +35 power bits since folks can price it as low as they want since they don't have to pay anything for junk loot.
it will be funny to see how long it takes the developers to fix this. knowing how slow they are.

Ok so you use dbl socket cybers. How do I go about making dbl socket cybers?

I can confirm this method works. Whether or not it saves money... maybe, it's a fairly close call. It saves time, overall though. And of course, it uses more clothes/armor.

Please PM the technique for making dbl socket cybers if you can.

wasnt this nerfed ages ago? I remember hearing about 2 sockets on cyber arms and then read on the update page of swg that it has been fixed and reduced to one socket is this still viable?

Sparktite, what you're thinking about was things like shirt and regular armor that were only supposed to have one socket, instead having two.
Then again, that thread on the SOE forums wasn't entirely helpful in determining that.

As of today this has been fixed. Cybernetics can no longer be reverse engineered.
