Anybody know where I can find a private server to play on? And no, they are not illegal, just a little shady, at least to use them. There is nothing against the law in breaking an EULA.

I would forget about private servers, ccp have done a good job of the game so safe to say they have all angles covered. All those who have tried in the past have failed.

It would be nice to see it happen but i doubt it will ever.

There would be no point of this... The market is completely player driven and there would be no way of it being fun at all...Yeah sure you could fly around in GM ships with GM modules... but for how long til you got bored of it? We play with around 30k players usually and eve still feels a bit empty.. imagine with only 150 people playing?

There would be a point, all be it small. You can fit a setup you wanna try that you arent sure how it will hold up in full on combat, say if you had some pricy mods or somthing, or a cap ship that you cant really risk "just to test" somthing. You can get some buds together and go at it to see what works and what doesnt. This assuming you run your own server.

That already exists, it is called the test server. Check the Eve forums near the bottom.

Yeah I think I should get a necro award here. Any updates to this? I don't have an active account so the test server is out of the question.
