i need help with peacemaking

i have been peaceing ghouls , i tried ettins and lizardmen but spend more time runnin then peacing, any one know what i need for the easiest skill gains?? please
Have you tried just standing in town with a few shop keepers around and peacing yourself.
Thats how I gained, but thats on the Alexandria Free Shard.
