so i just got the game, have played many mmo's in the past heavily geared toward the early pk/pvp titles.

anyway, when i load up the game ( i just got it and patched it on live servers )

my view just spins.
it wont stop rotating and its like a top down camera shot.

anyone have any ideas????
this kind of sucks as a first 1 minute of gameplay...

Have no clue try rebooting your computer, check files. And make sure to keep the clicks on mouse to a minimum untill your totally ingame. You can use the Enter key to get in from login.

i restarted and am still having the same problem.
the view just rotates and wont stop.
nothing is wrong with my keyboard or mouse, have numerous other games that work without problems.

computer is very fast core 2 system liquid cooled that i built, handles the game no problem.
loads up quick and it just spins, i kind of HAVE to bot.
but it would be cool to play and see more than the starting room walls

i want to add, this is a retail version purchased new from a major store.
"the epic collection - lineage 2 and all 5 expansions" is the version i got.
ran all the updates. maybe i'll do check files again.

Try right clicking in-game a few times, and maybe like make some adjustments or something.

I've never had this problem but its fixable.

the only way it will remain fairly still is if i hold down the right mouse
button and drag in huge strides to the right.

i changed all the settings around, from the lowest graphical options to
the highest. no sound, sound.
misc other options in the other tab did nothing either.

this is starting to become frustrating

i am uninstalling and reinstalling + repatching

update:
reinstalled, and repatched... same problem. not cool.

umm yes this is a problem, log in without the bot on, report it to GM and wait for an answer just go afk and you'll get a reply.

I hate to see this happen to you man, but once it's cleared up it'll all be good.

do you have a joystick attached?

My game spins like that if my joystick is plugged in.

Try to check for new Video Card drivers

Honestly I think the problem lies with your mouse, try swapping your mouse out for another and see if the problem persists.

uncheck gamepad in system

Probably a joystick issue. A. Turn it off B. Disconnect joystick.
