If you carry a transfer character token on you and are flagged so you cant log or recall while being chased or attacked run to a inn in town double click your token and your insta squelched and invisible. Then your on the safe side

Nay, once you have used the tolken you are placed in a limbo state, prior to using the tolken you must be not combat flagged (PC or NPC) and in an inn or other safe log out location (insta log location).

Sounds like a great way to burn a tolken, if you plan on using it then canceling the transfer service so you can keep doing the same thing, I fail to see what good it will do as you can't use them once flagged...

I couldn't find a token to confirm whether you can use it after battle, but I believe what Strewth is saying sounds about right. And in any case, it involves running into town into an Inn - chances are that if you have that much headstart to get away with that, you're probably going to be ok anyway.
