Yes its true you can get as many free noob miner and guns as you want, now your thinking we need to self destruct and then re-dock. Well no there is an easier way!

All you need to do is re-package your ships then assemble it, rinse and repeat until you have all the guns and miners you need. Each time you assemble the ship the items re-appear in the top slots.

All you need to do now to impress your mates is make a simple little bot to do the clicking for you and watch as your hanger gets full

Confirmed... However, not sure as to the value of this?? You cant sell the items nor can you reprocess them?

However, as to the OP's submission, yes this does work... just no value to filling up your hanger with something you can only trash to get rid of...

You can actually sell the mining laser on the market but it will not get you much. between 100 - 5000isk each dependent on hub. This tip is aimed at the younger eve player when isk is tight.
