It is possible for a character without required skills to use T2 mining crystals of any sort, provided he can use T2 miners and the barge/exhumer. The crystals have to be fitted once to a ship by a character with the required skills and the skilled character can then swap the ship with the unskilled.

Works especially well in 0.0 and POS environment, where high quality ore can then be mined faster by noobs without T2 mining crystal skills.

If the under skilled character removes the T2 crystals (or they are worn out) and tries to change the T2 crystals once they are worn out, an error is displayed saying a skill [INSERT SKILL NAME HERE] is needed.

Then, the help of a skilled character is required once again to equip the T2 mining crystals.
