If your like me and on a short budget and need to fight the avatars than there is way to rest during the battle so that you don't need to buy a lot of ethers and potions. When fighting go up to the main circle where the avatar appears and go to the top left part of the circle. You are able to rest there and heal because the avatar losses agro and stops. But be careful when summoning carby again because the avatar will agro to magic. This can come in handy when you run out of potions and the avatar is almost dead.
