Many games may ban you for various reasons.

This may include:

Cussing
Not follwing Rules
Using Hacks/cheating
Scamming, Etc

Every Computer has a diffrent Ip Address. Your computer's Ip is like your address on the internet!
Some games use Ip Banning when you do not follow their rules.
This means that they dont only ban you account allowing you to make a new one but to never allow you to play thier Game AGAIN!
Well of course you may go to your friends house and register a new account... but a easier way is to change your Ip!

-----------------Changing Your Ip------------------

Changing your Ip is not hard nor is time consuming. In fact it only takes you a few minutes!

To change your Ip do the follwing:

1.Download SMAC from going to
[MOD EDIT] fixed the link
Register to unlock hidden link And selecting "Ip Spoofer"

A picture of the location is shown below.

Please do pay attension to the rest of the site unless you play Renegade!

2. Read the bottom of the page first to avoid any problems!

3. Open SMAC

4. Make sure that "Show Only Active Network Adapters" is checked

5. Choose which Ip to spoof by clicking on it. If there is 2 to choose form then go to Register to unlock hidden link and it will show you your Ip.
Lets say it is 81.555.555.55 Go back to Smac and select the Network Adapter that has the coresponding Ip which in our case is 81.555.555.55

6. Change the value in "New Spoofed Mac Address"

7. Click update Mac

8. Restart Your Computer!

9.THIs is for people who say it doesnt change...

Are u sure u picked the right network Adapter!?!? cuz it worked for me...or didnt click update Mac

And your Done! You may alsouse this for other things that use Ip banning
but Dont use it for anyhting illegal

Caution:

To avoid problems in your local area network:

Make sure you DO NOT assign one MAC address to multiple NIC's on a local area network (LAN). If you do that, you might create some problems. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE UNIQUE MAC ADDRESS PER NIC!!!

You must assign MAC address according to the IANA Ethernet-number assignment database.

Make sure you DO NOT use Multicast MAC addresses. You can check out the Multicast MAC addresses at Register to unlock hidden link.

Note: "00-00-00-00-00-00" is NOT a valid MAC address. Even though you spoofed your MAC address to "00-00-00-00-00-00," your network adapter will reject this MAC address, and your TRUE MAC address will remain.

In order to activate the new MAC address, you need to disable then re-enable the network adapter, or reboot your system.

Please read the Readme / Release Notes file before using SMAC.

after spoofing, i disabled the connection in My Network, and re-enabled it but my ip is still the same... is rebooting computer necessary?

couldn't you just look up google to find this kind of information?

btw, rebooted computer and still doesnt work, for your "new mac address" i put random values.. and my ip is still the same

any idea why my ip isnt changing..

Another way to change ip address is phone your internet company and ask them to change it, also punkbuster does not only block your ip but also blocks your serial for your computer, so would be no use if changed ip. There are many ways to bypass this, but I'm too lazy to look it up , cuz I don't need it yet
