So what I am submitting is in fact 1 logo with 12 variations so the site owners can change it up as they please or have certain variations show up for certain titles.
Edit: added new logo submission with and without the character so you can see how it would be used
EDIT2: btw thes can be sized down, I make my gfx larger so they resize nicely

oh yeah figured i should mention these can be done with our without the background. The gradient bg is there to simply show how the logo looks against a non-white/plain bg.

does slapping a registered trademark onto your logo count?

Trademarks are used for names/titles in logos not for the design itself and only the owner of "Tault Unleashed" can request or place a "TM" next to the name
The design would be protected by copyright laws and would not need a copyright symbol next to it.
as for the "orbs" inquiry it stands out thats the main reason for choosing it. Second reason being is it is already a familiar shape from the past logo which gives the user a sense of feeling "at home" with the site. And when i say "stand out" i dont mean it stands out from the crowd, i mean it's just eye-grabbing. I went with other design choices at first but they just didnt pop enough. Too much grey and drab so I decdied to use a brightly colored orb as the main background piece for the characters & the logo.

not for the sake of it being a trademark (which i was referring to the various gaming icons you used throughout your submissions), but it's not your work.

perhaps to illistrate the flexiblity of the logo?
Posted: December 21st, 2006, 4:19 pm
by tault_3dgurl
yes to illustrate the flexability and to represent various games that this site has content for. The same could be said for the site's current logo and use of game art in the header, so I dont see why you are making a fuss. I never ONCE claimed the GAME art was mine. I used game art to incorporate them into the logo.
fyi you can't TRADEMARK art you can COPYRIGHT it and when you see a piece of game art used on a site you never see a (c) or a TM or a (R) next to it. The only time you do is next to the NAME itself like for example the World of Warcraft logo has a (R) in it because the NAME is a registered trademark.
