My house vendor log shows over 100 purchases with the price being $2 Yes that is a dollar sign. Items were briarwood and this was from 4 different toons. Not sure if game money changed hands.
Is this an exploit?

A: what did you have them priced at?
B: paste an exerpt from the log itself- (might want to edit out character names).
There are several situations in which the client misunderstands the data being sent by the server (I can list more than one place in which they use different data formats, getting the client confused)- This could just be a case of the client munging the data and printing a $ instead of somthing else. The game is full of these little oddities- some are benign, others are very powerful.

the $ quirk started 2 days ago and has been reported on EQ2 housing forum. Some folks say they are selling items and not getting paid. Hard for me to tell since I sell stacks of ore and wood.
One report is that it's a dupe bug, goto hotel room and buy item. Buyer is debited cash and gets item but dup item stays in vault.
Another report that this is testing for SE.

I had the same issue today.. 2 dollars... wtf is that?
Apparently it is some kind of dup exploit that might have been fixed...
