For the life of me I can not access SOE websites at work unless it is from a link posted some where on these forums. How is this? I mean what changes when a link is posted on this site that makes it's accessable to me when the same link on other sites is not?

Prob your work site blocked soe site but not our site and a indirect link works fine.

It is odd how some things work. To bad I can not log in to the SOE boards once I get on though. Then I could post there as I need to. Someone toss a link to eq2players up here. I wonder If i could access that now as well?

I really don't understand why it's so hard to type eq2players.station.sony.com as your URL.

Some firewalls/routers can deny accessing specific URLs 'directly' by typing adress in adressbar, but if you click the URL as a link on a website you can visit it.
so....
