How much difference do gear resistances and +stats matter?

I play solo/small group most of the time, but I've noticed that now that I've reached the level 50's the mobs are cleaning my clock a lot more often.

One thing that had me curious was the effect of resistances and attribute buffs of gear. Can it really help/hurt a lot?

well, depends on what class you are also, but i usually have a set a resist gear for each stat (the crafted jewelry resists) but you shouldnt really worry about resists unless they are terribly low

but like i said, if i knew, your class, i'd be able to help a lot more =]

Sorry, I guess that would help wouldn't it? I dual box and play a Shadow Knight and an Inquisitor. They are both at 50th level and trying to avoid dying too often in the Sinking Sands.... :D

Thanks for the information!

Hi, I am also playing that duo and I dont have exeptional gear, just rare crafted armor and weapon. I dont raid or play in full group so I dont have fable or high end gear. I leveled in SS up to level 60 and died only very rarely, most death occur when I was trying ^^^ mob that were above my level. Unless you raid or fight very tough mob you dont need much resist gear. Resist become essensial when you fight zone Boss or epic encounter. My Shadowknight is 67 and I dont have any resist over 2k and I fight level 65-67 ^^^ with no problems, I can even take on 2 blue ^^^ mob at same time when I use my Inqui and a DPS.

Thanks for the replies.....

Yeah, I have absolutely no raiding experience at all. I've never been able to tackle a boss or epic that isn't 5+ levels below me. If I only had enough computers a bot team would rock... :D

I have been trying to do ^^^ for the most part at 1-2+ my level though since that seems to be the sweet spot in terms of XP returns (I can only play once a week most of the time). Used to be able to get away with it better.

Could be that I need to try dropping back to even leveled mobs and see how that goes. Any other adviced based on your leveling experiences in SS?
