Coming back to EQ2

Hi guys, I used to play EQ2 long ago, came back to it once for a day a few months ago but was too busy to take it up.
I understand leveling has completely changed, when I first did it...the game was "unrefined" at best and levels 1-50 took like a month play time [defiler, cries was the worst class ever], maybe not that much but close [Did a warlock in half the time but they were so overpowered].
My first question: What is the best way to level, not the fastest to 70, but the quickest to 70 with keeping my character up to par, AA's etc (or can I just bust 70 fast and mentor and do the quests for AA's / grind mobs fast for them?). Will guilds take chars without maxed AA's?
Second, what classes are IN DEMAND for high end guilds. The reason I ask is because really I just enjoy raiding and haning out with people, I can make any class fun. If I had to pick 3 favorites from how the game USED to be...I'm thinking Necromancer, Warlock, or Conjuerer (how do they stack up for demand?).
Lastly: What classes are considered overpowered at the moment? Or at least considered by most to be, for instance my defiler could only heal about half as well as a cleric IE grouping sucked!
Thanks guys! I'll probably be rolling on a PvP server this time around, but if I decided to go PvE what is the most heavily populated server?
