Someone hit me with a big fat clue stick

I am not finding any help file on how to use this software so bear with my newbieness.
- I bought the software and installed it
- I downloaded and installed the Everquest 2 plugin
- In the Options screen I selected the EverQuest II config
- I pressed the "Play" button in XU
- When I get into Everquest I see a yellow "XUnleashed" in the top left of my screen but that's it
- I see instructions to press ctrl-insert-1 but that doesn't bring up any window at all for me
