On roofs

In scaleyard over by the bank, there is a set of stairs, further down the path is that doc, where the stairs assend there is a building with logs sticking out on your right side. You can get a running start and jump off the stairs and land on the logs on the building, from there you can jump on the building, then to all others from it. I have not found any use for this, but just more proof that EQ2 mapping isnt perfect, and if it can be done here, it can be done in other areas that allow for better exploitation.

Thats what i was thinking, currently im running around in newbie zones trying to find this same thing. Also when i was on the roof there is a backend of part of the roof that had not map wall, i was able to clip inside part of the building. So since you cant hit an NPC who clips into a wall, maybe it works the other way around

You'd have to successfully clip. Monsters can attack you if you can attack them, so perching isn't possible.

What if you're where the mob can't get close enough for you to attack, but you can still see the mob to cast on it?
