Peacock: My Service for an Idol Sub-Quest tiny exploit

For those who understand this what this quest is, you need to:
"You must collect 8 auto-updating drops from Samiel Outfitters in the Sinking Sands. This will automatically give you a note in your inventory. You MUST examine the note in order to advance the quest."
Of course, auto-updating means that you will not get the update everytime you kill one so it can become tedious sometimes trying to find all the outfitters.
Here is what you can do so that you don't have to wait for respawn timers:
Find Samiel Outfitters that are grouped with other Samiels. Kill all the outfitters but leave atleast one from the group standing. Feign Death or Run away. This will make the group automatically and immediately respawn with outfitters. Rinse and repeat.
Neat trick, not too much use, but a nice time saver.

How about posting where you get the quest. Is this (what you posted) the only thing you have to do in the quest?

So in other words you
bunny-bounce them?
I wrote about this on my site when I first started playing EQ2 for any quest where you have to kill x amount of this or that. Has been submitted here many times for many quests but it works for them all.
Works for AQs. Works for city writs.
Just leave one alive.... run away, FD, etc and then watch as they
bunny-bounce right back as a full group ready to be killed again.

Yes, pretty much what you said. All the mobs i have delt with in a group do not tend to "bounce" back, but rather wait for around 3 minutes until they "reset" with all of the mobs.

This is part of the one of the longest quest lines (namely Prismatic 2.0) and starts in Maj`Dul near the Golden Scepter.
