Harvest distant/other people's nodes

Variation on a theme, but still a fun one. EQ2 only checks whether a node is 'in range' when you first start to harvest. So, let's say you're in a heavily farmed spot like Fear-Tainted Isle. You have one node in front of you, the other guy has one. (Or the node is guarded by agro mobs.)

Start harvesting the node you're on.
Before the timer runs out, target the distant node.
When the timer runs out, you've harvested the other node.

Rinse and repeat.

Been using this for a while. Only works on nodes of the same 'type' I believe. So if you start harvesting roots, you can only remote harvest roots.

Harvest range is increased by about 4-5 times.

Handy tho. And confirmed.

I can confirm this little trick as well.. found out about it in "The Caves". And yes its only possible to do with with resources requiring the same skill to harvest. My only question is..if you could use it to harvest distant resources you dont have the skill for.. i dont know if eq2 checks more than once for skill.

Been posted many times before.
hjemad that won't work as you can only use this trick if your already harvesting a node thats of the EXACT same type.
