Vet reward: Story boss NPC how do these work?

If ur a rebel and u get an imperial story boss vet reward, did you make a mistake or can you kill him and loot him for good loots during a story?

Yes the limit is 2 times per day and i can vary the combat level of the boss. Those are two facts.

Could you tell me how a story works and how a boss vet reward would fit in?

everything about storyteller is there
you can only loot what you plase on story npc's
you you need to load it
