EVE Cheats - Overfitted ship exploit (CPU/Powegrid over max)

This exploit works on any module that has effects on the math involved with other modules.

Example: Ice harvester I uses 12,000 CPU, 120 when fitted on a barge.
Ice harvester upgrade I uses 30 CPU and increases the CPU requirement of the Ice Harvester I by 10% (12.0 extra CPU needed).

Say you had a barge with 150 CPU. you could fit both items, but not online them both at the same time, as it would need 162 CPU, not 150. You can online them in the station but when you undock, the game catches you and makes you offline something before undocking.

However, if you put the Harvester online and the Upgrade _Offline_ it will let you undock. Once you are in space, you can turn the upgrade back on.

This will however only work for one cycle as the game seems to recalculate CPU needs at the end of each cycle.


Ive searched CCP's forum and not found any trace of this.

At least he was trying. If it doesn't work but he thinks it does did he do something different or was he just mistaken? Perhaps there is need to dig deeper?
