So far, after searching for a few weeks... i've discovered two places of which borked mission terminals may be found. On Talus every town i've visited including the main outposts and the towns and outposts on dantooine give missions that spawn lvl 89-92 missions from the factional terminals. Weapons will drop from the npcs that will either be for around 60 cl or they will drop items that are insane such as the rifle i got which is 662-998 kinetic damage... which as you all know is pretty insane. I'v only gotten two melee weapons that do about 780 kinetic damage but nothing to write home about in the long run.

Extra Busters: In order to raise the cl of the mobs you must go specifal forces... an obvious note, but should be mentioned anyway is that you should get missions that are within 1km and should be in the same compass direction.

More NPCs: In order to raise the number of NPCs which spawn, grab friends to do it along side you and if you get a full group, the number of npcs will nearly triple actually... pentuple your spawn.

'Milking': Milking is basically using a mission to its fullest potential... this is kind of an exploit, i wouldn't call it one, but some would. First, get 2 missions in the same direction but try to get them about 300m apart, chances are they will end up about 400-700m apart, this is perfect. Go to your first mission, clear it out but DO NOT DESTROY THE BASE (try as best as you can not to even do any damage to it). Next travel to your next mission, and do the same thing, by the time you get back to the first mission everything should've respawned. This can be repeated about... 4-5 hours or so.

Extra Info: In my experience, 1 out of every 5 or so missions will give you a high damage rifle. Often you will get bowcasters but about 1 our of every 3 rifles is a n00by name rifle w/ amazing stats... ENJOY YOUR AWESOME RIFLE!!!

BTW: On my server, a rifle such as mine (CDEF rifle kinetic damage 662-998) sold for easily 60 mil, i currently have maxed out money after doing this for a few weeks... YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!! also on my server about 7 people know about this, and all found out from me... so ENJOY MY FRIENDS!

I've done this myself for a while now, and it's an easy way to get lvl 80ish NPC loot. However... it's not quite the quality stuff you get from DWB/blacksuns. Wasn't aware you could get a CDEF with kinetic dmg... and I'm seriously questioning the sanity of anyone that would pay 60 mil for a rifle with those stats - especially when you have 1000+ max / mid 900 dps rifles around fairly cheap (Taskmaster gauss rifle comes to mind). It's not a bad strategy, but this is pretty much a well known strategy. Nay.

You can do this from the factional terminals in places like Kaadara or Rebel outpost, with same level NPC and same tactics. Different cities on different planets give varying levels of difficulty for missions.

This is working as intended. Its normal loot. Grouping and milking have been used for as long as I've been playing.

You got lucky with that kinetic rifle, but its easier to get similar stat rifles from Restuss now. With elemental.

On the note of 60mil for a looted CDEF from glvsave. You would be surprised what some people pay for stuff. You remember before weapon stats came back, when damage was based on LEVEL not weapons (stats in character sheet), people were paying large money for looted weapons with high max, low min.

The thing was though, that weapon stats didnt mean anything (A level 1 cdef would work just as well as a level 90 GLC), the lower min on these meant that the hidden dps was lower than most quest weapons (like it even mattered), they had no elemental and worst of all, most specials didnt work with them. All you got for your 30-60mil was an extra 10m range. Even a 50 extra in max would prob give you 5 points difference in your character sheet, but lower your min by 2x that.

I wrote a huge post on this, in these boards some months back. Trouble is, someone who doesnt understand how the stats work (min, max, precision, agility, elemental, dps, level based damage), comes up with an idea, and through word of mouth it becomes true, then everyone rushes out and buys up. They think its working better, when its not, simply because they want it to. Placebo weapons damage

Not sure how well looted weapons work now, but no one I know bothers with them. Not sure if they fixed the problems with specials not doing damage.

lol, yeah, I haven't touched a looted, non-musty weapon since the revamp. In fact, the only looted weapon I ever used was a spraystick I got off a DJM, mainly because it made people laugh when they saw me using it in duels!
