If your about to die in space or need to get to a space station faster just simply type /escapepod yes and your ship gets repaired for FREE.

What about loss on chassis points? Have you noticed any drop in those points using that?

I havnt done this in awhile but it works.

It's a well known trick. It is even a way to travel way faster to stations since you clone back at station.

Now, don't use this trick if your mission isn't done or you will fail your mission.
