K, simple enough method: first, get out of combat, now, rather than wait the 60 seconds to store your pet, simply pull out a vehicle (which forces your pet to be stored), then store the vehicle (which then recalls your pet to you). Using this method, you still seem to have the chance to store a dead pet and end up recalling it with full health (however, I've noticed this tends to happen randomly). Enjoy
